Balalaikas in Blackpool
While catching up on some programmes I missed I came across this Radio 4 documentary - Balalaikas in Blackpool.
Apparently during the cold war the USSR produced a military map of Blackpool of all places. The documentary takes the map and asks various Blackpool residents firstly if it’s any good and secondly if they know anything about it. They also pull a old Russian spy out of retirement to ask him about it.
