BBC Podcasts

Thursday, March 9th, 2006

The Beeb have introduced a couple more podcasts. Simon Mayo’s 5 Live show and the very entertaining Sunday morning show Broadcasting House have been added.

Interestingly a section has been added for BBC2 podcasts – looks like the Beeb may be setting up some companion podcasts to popular shows. I’ll keep my eye on what’s happening and post if something is added.

Adam and Joe MP3 Clips

Saturday, February 25th, 2006

Taken from their Saturday show on XFM.

They talked on their show a few weeks back about doing a podcast, Adam mentions it on his site. They finish the current run of show in April and hopefully something will come of it after that.

Britcaster – Best of British Podcasts

Friday, February 24th, 2006

I’ve been looking for really good British podcasts for a while now to get me out of my Radio 4 habit – well, the search is over, Britcaster lists a huge amount of British podcasts. I’m going try out a couple over the weekend and post some recommendations next week.

Ricky Gervais Podcast no longer free

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006

The BBC comedy blog wrote yesterday about how Ricky Gervais is going to start charging for his popular podcast. It’ll only cost a £1 but could start a trend.

Would I subscribe if I had to pay? I’m not sure. It’ll be interesting to see how it works out and if he can replicate the success he had with the free podcast. He had over 250,000 downloads a week so even if he get half that he’ll be a very rich man.

Would you pay a quid to hear Gervais?

Looking for free Ricky Gervais MP3′s?

Mark Kermode’s film reviews

Thursday, October 20th, 2005

I’ve been listending to Mark Kermode’s film reviews from the podcast for the last couple of months and they really are fantastic. Often Mark’s reviews are actually more entertaining than the films themselves.

Yahoo! Podcasts

Wednesday, October 19th, 2005

Yahoo! have just announced a new podcast directory – parts of it have a passing resenblance to 43 Things.
It’s very American in focus but it looks like it has some interesting stuff. It certainly is easier on the eye than ipodder or Podcast.net.

Ricky Gervais MP3s

Wednesday, July 20th, 2005

Rick GervaisXFM have put up Ricky Gervais’ fantastic show as MP3′s. I can’t beleive it’s taken me six weeks to notice!

Mind you I can’t beleive he hasn’t been taken of the air, the show I heard a few weeks back he was looking for someone to stick their finger up Keith’s arse.
